Does anyone else have any hassles with Firefox?

Firefox changes the layout of the 'original' forum posts as in the picture posted in the link below.

This is David's site Link with faulty screen picture

I've changed to Firefox as recommended by David & Michelle, moving from MS windows and have found it much faster and with many more benefits to me, this is the only hassle I have with it.

I will retain Firefox, but would like it with-out the unexplainable glitch !!
(yes, have contacted the 'team' and advised to post the question here)

Mainey, I've been running Firefox for a couple of years now and never had that problemo. Maybe its a setting.

Yep, I have been using it for at least 5 years and have never had any issues accessing the site.

Make sure you have the latest Java update.

Just been having a bit of a play with fonts and such.

Are you displaying "Normal" fonts or have you changed to a larger one?

Notso,
Is just not so,
have now changed to the smallest size font and it still all goes over the edge of the page as shown in the photo I took of the page.

I've been using FF for awhile now. Without a problem.
Version 3.0.1
If I need to get an update from MS I the IE/FF tab add on. And swap between the two.
Get it Here

Try it it might help over come some of the issues.

Mainey,

I get the same glitch on the latest FF 3, albeit not 100% of the time, did not on the previous version. All plugins upto date.

Dont know why, will have to live with it for now

Mainey,
You have increased the FONT size for the view shown.
MS IE increasese vertically by resizing the page.
Firefox offsets the increased font horizontally without increaseing the page size.
Decrease the FONT by using the down arrow beside the Subject heading and you will see the page return to normal.

Nope that has not worked for me as I have reduced to the smallest size available which is about the size 8 in MS Word (small)
There is all the empty space in the left side of the 'boxed area' with the message moved across the page to half fill the boxed area and it 'spills out' onto the blue side area, as is shown on the photo I have taken and posted in the link above.

Have you checked the font size in your display properties? Not in firefox.

Mainey,

I have just made a change to the system that I think will resolve the issue. I am unable to duplicate your issue however there was a table cell being rendered in the position where the error seems to be occuring. I have just modified the code to remove it. let me know how it goes.

Everyone is saying 'font', have you tried screen resolution? Mine is set at 1024x768. That photo of your screen seems to have a very wide margin on the right hand side.

My monitor is 1680 x 1050 with wide screen display and set at that to give clear performance with movies etc.

To set it down to 1024 x 768 will give less clarity and I did not pay to do that :-)

Brian,
the picture shown was only taken of the right side of the monitor, because the font was moved over to the right, so I thought it more important to see all of it

Mainey,

Why does the text in your signature and all through your profile show all those weird foreign accent symbols on certain letters? I have not noticed them in your previous posts. I am viewing this site via IE7.

I have noticed similar aberrations on a Real Estate site that I look at, but only for one particular agent. I am wondering if this is a legacy of Firefox.

Are you referring to this -> SÖLAR ?

the O in the word 'Solar'

It is the only 'different' letter I can see in my Profile.

Mainey,

When I opened your profile just now I found the Swedish slash through the letter "o" in Voltage and Volts. plus the umpla over the "o" in Solar. All of your bullet points have complicated asterisks and symbols instead of a black dot (EG in "My Solar numbers explained each line starts with #->) There seems to be an excessive amont of quotation marks (double and single) throughout. Your signature on the automatic e-mail that came to me from Exploroz is as follows:
? ä î n e ÿ

Maybe it is just your chosen style of electronic writing. Curious to see though! I mean no offence, just thought you may not realise how your Firefox generated text appears when viewed here in IE7 .
